Los Angeles designer Robert Sha was obsessed with finding the perfect thin wallet.
Like every other design-conscious minimalist, he carries his keys and his iPhone in his front pockets, and didn't want the wallet in his back pocket to feel like a brick. He tried fancy card case wallets, bi-folds, money clips, magnet wallets, even duct tape wallets he made himself. Nothing worked.
Then he invented the Minimalist. It's a streamlined premium leather wallet with two pockets for credit cards and a strap for cash. Boom. Done. Money, as they say.
Sha pocket-tested his Minimalist prototype for a year and went public on Kickstarter to raise funds on October 4. His funding goal was $16,500 by November 1. Let's just say the idea has gone viral. Take a look to see how much he's raised. Want one?
