Klay Thompson, the Golden State Warriors’ star shooting guard, will partner with ShotTracker, a wearable technology that tracks basketball shot attempts, on a multi-year endorsement deal and a virtual camp. Thompson will advise on all product development and provide input from his own experience in improving through technology.

The free camp, which will take place from June 21-28, will combine ShotTracker’s advanced technology and daily workouts developed by Thompson and his trainer, which will be sent to participants through the company’s app. Thompson will be able to see the participants’ stats so he can encourage and challenge players on social media. The ShotTracker technology consists of net and wrist sensors and an app that work together to create a personal shooting profile.

“Klay Thompson is an amazing role model for young athletes and truly represents what ShotTracker is all about on and off the court. We’re excited to be collaborating with him and to have his involvement in the future of ShotTracker,” said Davyeon Ross, ShotTracker’s co-founder and COO.

Although overshadowed by potential NBA MVP Stephen Curry, Thompson scored a record-breaking 37 points in a single quarter, which included nine three-pointers. “The offseason is on with ShotTracker and I’m excited to partner with the team. The offseason is when players can really focus on their weak spots and make huge improvements,” Thompson said. “To get where you want to be, you have to train with game-time intensity all year long. ShotTracker helps players do this and holds them accountable.”
