Foundation Raises Funds For Social Technology Projects In Emerging Economies

The World for People Foundation has raised a $690,000 fund for global development programs that promote innovative social projects in emerging economies.

The Foundation has created the fund for companies or projects which can create and provide advanced technological solutions to improve the quality of life and economic condition of local populations anywhere in the world.

The funds are available to projects with a  high rate of innovation including information and communication technologies, heritage education and sustainable development as well as for activities such as supplying energy to schools from renewable sources; equipment for teaching activities; water supply and sanitation solutions and projects ensuring schools remain operational.

Alfonso Galdi, Chairman, The World for People Foundation, said the goal is to finance projects which assist local populations in emerging countries to improve their social and economic conditions by providing sustainable and advanced technological solutions to everyday problems.

The Foundation is part of the United Nations Global Compact and hopes the new funding will endorse the core values at the heart of  the  Global Compact’s 10 principles.
