Forget the glamour shots of Ivy-covered buildings and students in lab coats. FORBES has a new social campaign that’s all about showcasing real students' views and news of what makes their university #MyTopCollege.
Every year Forbes ranks America’s Top Colleges based on graduation rate, student satisfaction, post-graduate success and student debt. This year we want to hear from the people who know colleges best. Students, faculty and alumni are invited to share photos, fun facts, traditions and quirks that truly happen only at their school for a chance to be featured in FORBES magazine and online as a “Students’ Favorite Top College.”
We marked the campaign kick-off on Monday and one school came out on top after hours of flooding our feed with their school’s flare. The San Diego State University community wasted no time Instagramming and tweeting their photos of athletic teams, gorgeous views and even pets to prove why SDSU is a top college. Aztecs teams rose to the challenge and boasted statistics that they’re particularly proud of. SDSU had everyone from the marching band to athletic teams to the students themselves blow up the
The competition remains fierce, with an increasing number of schools across the country catching wind of this social phenomena and taking to Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Vine to project their school's spirit. Do you bleed orange? Are you fearless and true? Is it all about the U? Now is your chance to prove it. Check out the campaign’s progress by logging onto forbes.com/my-top-college. The site will feature a social feed showcasing the best pictures from each top college.
Participation in the campaign will not influence ranking, which will be live online on Wednesday, July 30. For questions, contact ForbesEdu@forbes.com.
