Taylor Swift, One Direction, and Madonna Tickets In Demand Overseas

This article is more than 8 years old.

Some of the biggest names in music will be taking their talents overseas this fall, including Spandau Ballet, pop princess Taylor Swift, One Direction, Madonna, and Ariana Grande. One Direction and Taylor Swift have been dominating the touring market in the states all summer, and so it is no surprise that their tickets continue to be competitive internationally.  Ariana Grande will be touring internationally for her first time, and veteran Madonna is expected to break records when her Rebel Heart Tour heads out overseas. Below are highlights for each tour, with ticket data provided by viagogo.com.

Spandau Ballet | International dates: August 28- September 25 | Get-in Price: $103, Singapore

Reunion tours have been all the rage in the last few years, and Spandau Ballet has continued the successful trend with their summer and fall tour dates. The new-wave group Spandau Ballet has sold more than 25 million albums, and their 2009 reformation has surged the band back into the spotlight. They’ll finish up a few dates in North America, before playing a string of international dates. Currently, the band’s cheapest date is their September 19th show in Singapore, where to get-in a ticket is $103. Their show two days earlier on September 17th in Dubai is one of their most expensive, with a get-in ticket price of $155.

Taylor Swift | International dates: November 7-December 12 | Get-in Price: $115, Brisbane, Australia

Taylor Swift has had one heck of a summer run, and the tour madness is set to continue into her international dates. As of August 5th, the 1989 Tour had already raked in $86.2 million at 20 performances in the U.S. and Canada based on 771,460 sold seats at seven arenas and nine stadiums, according to Billboard. The tour will head overseas on November 7th and wrap up on December 12th.  Currently, Taylor’s cheapest date is her December 5th show in Brisbane, Australia, where the get-in ticket price is $115. Her most expensive show is her November 7th date in Singapore, sporting a get-in ticket price of $410.

One Direction | International dates: September 4- November 15 | Get-in Price: $77, London, UK

Although the band has suggested that a hiatus is definitely happening at the end of their On the Road Again Tour run, One Direction is still the highest-earning touring act of 2015 so far, bringing in $107.7 million from the On the Road Again tour, according to Pollstar. One Direction’s North American leg will finish up on Sept. 12, and then head into Europe, where ticket sales vary across the map. On Sept. 30, the band will play a show at The O2 Arena in London, and a get-in ticket price for that affair is currently just $77. The band’s most expensive date overseas is their Oct. 31 show in Sheffield, United Kingdom, where the get-in cost is $220.

Ariana Grande | International Dates: Aug. 15- Aug. 26, Oct. 21-25 | Get-in Price: $112, Santiago, Chile

Ariana Grande’s The Honeymoon Tour is currently overseas in Asia, where it will wrap up in Indonesia on August 26th. The tour will play a string of North American dates in September, and then head back overseas to South America. The Honeymoon Tour is her second concert tour and first international tour, supporting her album My Everything, which she released in 2014. Ariana’s cheapest international date is her October 21st show in Santiago, Chile, where a get-in ticket is $83. Her most expensive show is her October 23rd date in Buenos Aires, Argentina, which currently sports a get-in price of $111.

Madonna | International Dates: November 4 – March 27 | Get-in Price: $60, Cologne, Germany

Madonna’s The Rebel Hearts Tour, in support of her thirteenth studio album, is scheduled to kick off on September 9th in Montreal. The North American leg of the tour will wrap up in October and will cover Europe and the U.K. in the months of November and December.

In her touring past, Madonna has broken records on the road. According to the Billboard Boxscore, Madonna's MDNA tour in 2012 grossed $305 million and moved 2.2 million tickets to 88 shows. For Rebel Hearts, Madonna’s most inexpensive international date is currently her November 5th show in Cologne, Germany, where a get-in ticket is just $60. At the other end of the spectrum, her most expensive show to date is her March 6th show in Auckland, New Zealand, which has a get-in price of $172. Since Madonna’s tour has months to go before it kicks off overseas, fans can expect tickets to rise in the upcoming weeks.
