Watch The Extended E3 'Uncharted 4' Demo

This article is more than 8 years old.

Uncharted 4 continues to be the coolest looking upcoming game out there---or very nearly the coolest. I've been a believer since I first saw it demoed at the PlayStation Experience in Las Vegas late last year.

The full, extended version of the E3 2015 demo just released to the masses today. A crazy chase scene through crowded, colorful streets. Insane gunfights, explosions, and near-death experiences. And finally, an encounter with an old friend. All of this combines to show off one of the best looking games we've seen yet on PS4.

Unfortunately, none of it will be available until 2016, which feels like a long time to wait especially as the long, hot summer spreads out before us with so very little in the way of major releases. (Though, to be honest, it's a great time to catch up on your backlog---if, that is, you're not spending your days outside. You should really go outside and enjoy the summer.)

Anyways, I'm excited to see Nathan Drake and Sully and Drake's brother Sam and everybody else go on their swashbuckling, thieving, Indiana Jonesing adventures once again. These are some of the PlayStation's best exclusives as far as linear, cinematic titles go. I'm not always a huge fan of linear, cinematic games but lately all these open-world titles are starting to wear thin and something a little more straightforward sounds just fine.
