Today's Valentine's Day news: A new survey from the company that bought you "Netflix and chill" suggests that, at least for some people, what you watch can make you more attractive.

A full quarter of the respondents to the streaming service's relationship survey said that they have found someone more attractive based on the shows they watch. Netflix even built a cute promotional video based on the poll result:

Other relationship tidbits from the online survey, which polled 1,008 Americans with Netflix accounts:

More than half of you have added shows or movie genres to your dating profiles hoping to attract a mate.

Fully 69 percent of you use movies as an icebreaker on a first date, and 63 percent use TV shows.

A questionable 13 percent of those polled would ask someone out solely based on "show compatibility." Guys, you're more likely (34 percent) than girls (19 percent) to ask someone out based on show or movie tastes.

More than half of those responding say they wouldn't share their Netflix account until they were dating someone exclusively. Fully 17 percent take the prudent step of waiting until engaged or married.

Almost three quarters of respondents say yes, Netflix and chill is a thing: 72 percent of those already married or in a relationship said staying in and watching Netflix is one of their favorite date nights.

One possible streaming option for those couples next week: Netflix is releasing a new series called "Love," starring Gillian Jacobs of "Community," which debuts Feb. 19. Your obligatory promo video (starring creator and funny-relationship master Judd Apatow:)

The company also pulled together a sweet 16 list of possible date-night movies for your big romantic Valentine's Day weekend. Needless to say, all are available for streaming on Netflix:
