Lollapalooza's 2016 Lineup: Radiohead, Red Hot Chili Peppers, LCD Soundsystem

This article is more than 8 years old.

Early on Wednesday, festival fans were treated to the full (and it is very full) lineup for this coming summer’s Lollapalooza, which has one of the largest bills of any event this year.

Alternative rockers Radiohead, SoCal heroes Red Hot Chili Peppers, the newly-reformed LCD Soundsystem, and hip-hop favorite J. Cole are all set to headline the annual Chicago-based festival, with other big names like Lana Del Rey, Ellie Goulding, and Major Lazer taking to the various stages as well. It might have started as a rock event, but this year’s lineup is especially diverse, and there seems to be almost every genre present on the extensive bill.

2016 marks Lollapalooza’s 25th year in business, and in that time, it has become one of the largest and most important music events in the world. Last year, the Brazilian edition of the festival was the tenth highest-grossing in the world, with an impressive $7 million-plus in ticket sales and 125,000 attendees. The American staging must not be far behind, as it always fills to capacity and brings the masses out to party.

Tickets for Lollapalooza 2016 go on sale in just a few hours, and with one day passes going for just $120, it is sure to sell out in no time.
