This Wearable Wants To Deliver Your Powerpoint Presentations From Anywhere

This article is more than 8 years old.

Ever wish you had a mobile presentation you could whip out during an impromptu elevator pitch?

Well, Monday, Israel-based startup Muv Interactive released a ring-like hover piece for exactly that. The Bird, as the company calls it, will be able to interact with multiple surfaces--an impending trend we’ve seen with virtual keyboards.

Acting as a remote that connects to a smartphone, tablet or PC, the hardware is a plastic shell that wraps around a finger (similar to what the doctor places on your finger when you go in for a checkup) which contains ten sensors. It includes remote touch, gesture control, voice command and mouse functionality from a distance of up to 100 feet away bringing us closer to our Tony Stark dreams.

The creators claim the Bird’s multi-user input can allow up to 10 people to interact with the same content simultaneously which can come in handy for gaming. This product also seems like it could have a lot of use for interactive learning and 3D model presentations.

The Bird is backed by investors including OurCrowd, Titanium VC and Club100.

“BIRD redefines the way people interact with digital media,” Rami Parham, CEO of MUV Interactive said in a press release. “Our team has put together a miracle of engineering that not only supports today’s applications, but pushes the envelope of what is possible in future ones.”

The first 10,000 buyers will get it for $149. After that, the price will go up to $249.
