'Halo 5: Guardians' Goes Gold, Celebrates With An Infograph

This article is more than 8 years old.

Halo 5: Guardians has finally gone gold after three years of development. It marks what's probably the biggest exclusive Xbox One release to-date.

"We will have a multiplayer content update, prior to launch, that will supplement the online multiplayer goodness with map content for Arena Multiplayer and our all new massive-scale 12v12 Warzone Multiplayer," 343 Industries writes in the update. "Make sure you have the Power Setting for your Xbox One set to “Instant On” so that you’ll automatically download the online multiplayer update prior to October 27th and be ready on launch day."

Halo 5 is the second original entry in the long-running sci-fi shooter franchise developed by 343 Industries instead of Bungie. I really liked Halo 4 though I know it was controversial and not everyone shared my enthusiasm.

I'll be reviewing Halo 5 in the coming weeks, so stay tuned for my thoughts on the game as well as coverage from others here at Forbes Games. It'll be especially interesting to play alongside Bungie's Destiny which has made such a huge splash in the past year. Guardians everywhere you look these days.

Microsoft and 343 Industries have also released the following infograph, detailing some of the sort of abstract numbers that make this sort of thing sound cool:

Halo 5: Guardians launches on October 27th exclusively on Xbox One.
