Where Do Foreign Students Face The Highest University Fees? [Infographic]

Studying abroad can prove extremely expensive. Tuition fees vary widely across international universities, as do cost of living expenses. According to HSBC, the United States has the highest average annual fees for international students of any country worldwide – $24,914. Australia isn’t too far behind, with its annual university fees adding up to $24,081.

HSBC’s research also takes a look at living expenses which stand at approximately $42,093 per year in Australia and $36,564 in the US, making the former a more expensive overall option for students. Tuition fees are significantly lower in Asia. Chinese universities have an annual fee of $3,844 on average while in Malaysia, it is just $2,453.
