Instagram Users Can Become Consumers Thanks To A New App Launching Today

Social solutions company Soldsie announced today that their newest product - Have2Have.it - is the first affordable solution that creates a direct path from Instagram to the specific content or product their users want. With Instagram having an average of 300 million active monthly users, this news couldn't come at a better time - or from a company better prepared to support social commerce. Soldsie's investors include First Round Capital, SoftTechVC, Funders Club, Lerer Ventures, Vaynermedia, and 500 Startups - with a company goal to build the best tools necessary for businesses to increase revenue from social media. Having already successfully introduced their first product, Soldsie,  Have2Have.it is a welcomed addition to their social selling goals.

Instagram's single link limitation for businesses has been a constant pain point for Instagram users,” says Soldsie CEO Chris Bennett. “Instagram only allows one link per business, however that makes it difficult for users to quickly access the content they want beyond the platform. We’ve figured out how to solve a problem that’s proved successful for each business we have piloted with, and we’re excited to officially launch the product to the public.”

Among the companies that experienced Have2Have.it during it's trial phase included Darin Hager of Heyday Footwear. Hager described Have2Have.it as being "one of our secret marketing weapons" while also helping to direct Instagram users to "buy our performance gyms sneakers", as he further explains below.

Have2have.it has transformed our Instagram selling experience from static to dynamic with the ability to leverage every post we make featuring our high top sneakers and the athletes who wear them with a direct link to the product page on our website. A key conversion metric we are seeing is a consistent 10% referral rate from Have2Have.it, which adds to our direct and organic metrics," explained Hager.

If Have2Have.it truly helps users become consumers, we can expect it's popularity to quickly rise among small and large businesses alike - particuarly as it helps to eliminate one of the challenges Instagram presents to businesses.

One of the tough challenges about Instagram is transitioning someone from liking an image you post of your product to actually making a purchase. Have2Have.it creates that bridge," share Steve Nanino whose company Kid Dangerous was among the pilot program of Have2Have.it on Instagram. Expanding on this, Nanino explains that "people are clicking through to the products on our online store and making purchases because of Have2Have.it. I know we would have lost several of them because people don't want to jump through a bunch of hoops to buy something. Consumer attention span isn't long enough." 

With impressive results stemming from the Have2Have.it pilot program, the company's CEO Chris Bennett is confident Instagram users - both businesses and consumers alike - will value the easy to use, effective app that Have2Have.it delivers.

Brands that are using Have2Have.it are seeing on average an 87% click through rate and 50% more time on site from Have2Have.it referrals relative to those coming directly from Instagram," Bennett states.

With 20% of internet users reported to be on Instragram, Have2Have.it seems like it truly is something businesses have to have.
