As a means of securing the best and brightest, many companies now are paying far more attention than ever before to the environment created by their work spaces.

It makes sense--many professionals spend more hours at the office each week than they do at home, and an office that provides space for group gatherings, brainstorming, relaxation, and collaboration can boost productivity and prove an attractive reason to come to work each day instead of telecommuting.

Each year, Glassdoor combs through thousands of photos shared across its website and apps to identify ten truly unique and inviting work spaces at companies across the country.

Many of the offices represented are from the tech sector, where a creative, driven, and nonconformist culture--coupled often with healthy profits--has made offices outfitted with ping pong tables, bean bag chairs, and "huddle rooms" an industry norm.

Here are this year's 10 Cool Office Spaces:

1) Zappos

The Las Vegas, Nevada, etailer installed this UFO-inspired conference room in the center of its courtyard. The structure can be reserved for meetings.

2) HomeAway

The online vacation marketplace has a centrally-located roof at its Austin, Texas, headquarters--inspired by its birdhouse logo--with a hammock underneath for working and lounging.

3) Starbucks

The Seattle, Washington, headquarters of the upscale coffee behemoth is equipped with a well-appointed full-service cafeteria.

4) Salesforce.com

The San Francisco, California-based cloud computing company has a colorfully-outfitted kitchen for grabbing coffee or snacks.

5) Hubspot

At its Cambridge, Massachusetts, headquarters, the software development company has a modern lounge area with a bold, cheerful color palate.

6) JustFab

The subscription retailer and personal shopping service has an in-house photo studio at is Los Angeles, California, HQ, where employees capture images for the company's social and online presence.
