The 20 Best Work-Life Balance Jobs

This article is more than 9 years old.

This article is part of a series on work-life balance. Check out the companion pieces here: 6 Tips For Better Work-Life Balance and 5 Signs You Might Be A Workaholic.

We’ve all been there: Overworked, rundown by our never-ending to-do list, wondering if that whole “work-life balance” thing is just a myth. About 94% of working professionals said they worked 50 hours or more a week, and almost half said they worked more than 65 hours a week, according to a 2008 survey by Harvard Business School. If you’re in that pool, you’ve likely fantasized about a schedule that involved less work and more time for living the good life. Maybe you’d spend more time with your loved ones, pick up an old hobby or finally write that screenplay.

According to the career site Glassdoor.com, work-life balance isn’t a myth. It’s just a matter a finding the right job. After collecting employee feedback shared over the past year, Glassdoor.com published last month the 20 best jobs that let you live your life. Leading the way are jobs as a data scientist, SEO specialist and tour guide. Find the full list and more details here or simply scroll down.
