The annual SPIE Optics + Photonics symposium will take place on August 25 to 29th at the dynamic San Diego Convention Center in sunny San Diego, California. It’s the largest international, multidisciplinary optical sciences and technology conference in North America. Over 4,500 attendees are expected at this year’s event. It’s an exciting opportunity to exchange ideas, be published and connect with others in the field.
Technical conferences at the symposium are divided in to four categories: NanoScience + Engineering, Solar Energy + Technology, Organic Photonics + Electronics and Optical Engineering + Applications. There will be lots of opportunities to learn from world-class experts during the more than 3,200 presentations scheduled. Plus more than 40 courses and workshops are being offered. Each day is going to be jam-packed and temperatures will drastically vary between indoors and outdoors, so it’s important to feel comfortable as well as look professional. Here are two summery outfits I recommend to those fortunate enough to be going to this lively and stimulating four-day event.
